It seems that girl power is still very much going strong then.

The iconic nineties band tallied a whopping 40% of your votes following their brief Olympics reunion earlier this year.

Initially, it looked like new kids on the block Little Mix would be taking home the title, leading the poll for the first week.

However, as voting continued and canvassing by fans took over Twitter the 'DNA' singers lost favour, having to settle for third place with 18%.

Another shock on the tally was The Saturdays.

Despite not gaining many votes in the first couple of weeks, The Sats shot up the poll in the last week, finishing in second place with an impressive 34%.

Now they may have only released one single this year but it seems that you guys can't get enough the fivesome's enviable personal lives and wardrobes.

Girls Aloud also failed to ignite much interest on the poll gaining just 6% of the vote, finishing in fourth place.

We must admit we were somewhat surprised given all the excitement surrounding their much anticipated reunion.

Stooshe narrowly avoided coming last, beating MKS into fifth place by a mere 17 votes.

Ouch.

Although this wasn't exactly surprising news regarding MKS considering they haven't actually released any new material or performed together this year.

If anything, we were rather impressed they gained any votes at all.

So congratulations to The Spice Girls who have proved once again to be the biggest girl group on the planet- will there ever be a girl band better than them?

Well according to you lot, at least not this year.
