The Met Gala on Monday brought a range of trends to the red carpet, but both Kristen Stewart and Florence Welch stood out for their original outfits at NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kristen Stewart didn't follow the full-length uniform worn by a lot of attendees at the Met Gala, instead opting for a Balenciaga mini dress by Nicolas Ghesquiere.

The dress had a black and white textured bodice with colour block red and blue skirt.
Kristen Stewart's shoes were quite the eye-catching get-up too, with white laces on black heels.
While Kristen Stewart went for a bodycon silhouette, Florence Welch did the opposite!
The Florence and the Machine lead singer went wide in an Alexander McQueen gown.
