The troubled 26-year-old actress made a plea of ‘no contest’ after making the last minute deal with prosecutors at her trial in Del Aire, LA, yesterday.

Lindsay was facing charges for lying to the police about driving her Porche into a cement truck last summer while still on probation for stealing a necklace.

The actress was also sentenced to 30 days of community service and 18 months of psychotherapy, two months of which she is said to have already completed.

Li-Lo was already on thin ice yesterday after appearing 49 minutes late to the trial when she missed her flight from New York.

When she finally appeared, Lindsay was showered with glitter on her way into the court house.

Of course she was.

The star has been allowed to complete her community service in New York which will begin as soon as she finishes the 90 day stint in rehab.

Her lawyer, Mark Heller, will be appearing in court on May 2 to provide a report on the actress’ progress.

Lindsay was warned by the judge ‘don’t drive’ and that this would be the last time she would be able to avid a jail sentence.

He said that if she violates her probation again, ‘we are going to be done with it,’ before adding: ‘this is it’.

Let’s hope Lindsay was listening intently.

The star won’t be able to leave the rehab facility at any stage during her 90 day treatment and must stay clear of drugs, drug users and submit regular drug testing.

Lindsay’s lawyer admitted he was relieved that the case came to a ‘successful conclusion’ and is ‘very confident’ that she will be able to move on from her troubles with ‘dignity, with pride and with respect’.

He concluded: "At the conclusion of this case, Lindsay will have a completely clean record. I think that is an extremely important element to this case."
