The fire, which started during the early hours of Sunday morning, claimed most of its victims either by the stampede of fleeing party goers or through smoke inhalation.
This morning, Lady Gaga posted a picture of herself praying for the victim's families.
She captioned the photo: “#prayforSantaMaria”
The photograph shows the singer wearing next to no make-up and sporting unkempt hair.
Lady Gaga wasn’t the only celebrity moved by the event with The Wanted’s Max George and singer Demi Lovato also sending out their condolences to the families of the victims.
Max tweeted: “Heart goes out to all those who tragically lost loved ones in Brazil club fire. #staystrong”
Demi Lovato echoed Max’s sentiment tweeting: “So sad to hear about the nightclub fire in Brazil. Such a tragedy. Praying for everyone affected down there.”
