Kimberley Walsh for Strictly come Dancing?

She appeared on 'The X Factor' as Cheryl Cole's assistant at judge's houses but now it looks like Kimberley Walsh is jumping ship to rival show 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

According to The Sun, Kimberley is set to join the star studded cast when Strictly returns next month.

A show insider told The Sun: "When we heard she was interested we were thrilled. Now everyone's dying to see her moves. She's a great name for us to have got"

Since Girls Aloud took a break in 2010, Kimberley took some time out from the music industry to pursue her childhood dream of performing on the West End.

Landing a role as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Kimberley garnered rave reviews and in the process picked up some professional dance lessons.

Needless to say we can't wait to see Kimberley put her lessons to good use and strut her stuff on the dance floor!

When Cheryl was judging on the X Factor, Kimberley and band mates Nicola and Sarah were regular audience members so we expect to be seeing a lot more of the girls on Saturday nights if Kimberley does join the show.

2012 now looks to be a very busy year for Kimberley with Girls Aloud due to be reuniting to celebrate their 10th anniversary by performing at this year's Royal Variety.

Other stars who are rumoured to be taking part in this year's Strictly include Westlife's Nicki Byrne, Olympians Victoria Pendleton and Steve Redgrave, model Jerry Hall and presenter Fern Britton.

It was announced earlier this year judge Alesha Dixon's empty seat had been filled by professional dancer Darcey Bussell.

No pressure then Kim!
