Kimberley Walsh has released the first track from forthcoming solo album ‘Centre Stage’.
Kimberley's album will be out in February.
The single ‘One Day I’ll Fly Away,’ famously recorded by Nicole Kidman for the 'Moulin Rouge' soundtrack in 2001, was the first track Kimberley recorded for her forthcoming LP.
We have to admit, we were somewhat dubious as to whether Miss Walsh would be able to pull off an entire album by herself.
After all, she never really took any of the the lead vocals with Girls Aloud.
However, after hearing the cover we were pleasantly surprised.
Clearly Kimberley Walsh’s time in the West End has not gone to waste- beautifully capturing the emotion and drama behind the song’s lyrics.

And if you didn’t think Kimberley had it in her to belt out the top notes then think again- she absolutely smashes it as the song reaches its climax.
'Centre Stage' is collection of famous songs from the world of musical theatre.
Kimberley Walsh is already well versed in this area of music, previously starring in 'Shrek! The Musical' and 'Les Miserables'.
Talking about the album, Kimberley admits her time during Sherk inspired her to record the collection.
"I've always loved musical theatre and doing Shrek! The Musical definitely re-ignited the passion in me.
"I really wanted to share the love I have for musical theatre by taking some classic songs and completely reinventing them.

"The melodies in so many musical songs are so brilliant I knew we could create something special by experimenting with the production and I really feel like we've come up with some interesting takes on classic songs."
