As the Olympic Torch Relay passed through Buckingham Palace Kate Middleton ditched her usual dressing of a Zara/Hobbs/Reiss frock in favour of event-appropriate attire.

Clad in royal blue jeans and a white polo shirt sporting the Union Jack flag she appeared perfectly patriotic in her outfit.
True to form, the Duchess of Cambridge glammed up her look with her trademark bouncy curls and photo-friendly make-up.
She kept a smile stamped across her pretty face as she appeared delighted by the start of the Olympics, clapping when the torch flame was passed on.
Kate also made time to speak with Team GB's Olympic hopefuls and looked engaged in conversation.
The brunette beauty was flanked by the world's most famous brothers, to her right was hubbie Prince William who opted for a navy blue shirt bearing the Olympic rings teamed with chinos. (Very rah rah).
To Kate's left was Prince Harry who opted for the same shirt as his older brother but went for white.
The young royals played their parts perfectly, drumming up yet more excitement for the games taking over the capital.
