Jennifer Hudson has spent weeks in court, listening to the account of the night her family died.
So when the verdict came through, that Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law, William Belfour, was guilty of murdering her mother, brother and cousin, she was seen 'weeping' in court.
Jennifer Hudson heard that William - whom she said she always 'deeply disliked' - shot her mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, in her home.
He then shot her brother, Jason Hudson, 29, as he lay in bed, before driving off with her cousin, Julian King, 7.
His body was later found in the car, miles away, after a three day search.
The jury convicted William of murder after three days of deliberations, and he was handed a mandatory life sentence.
Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia released a statement after hearing the 'guilty' verdict for their former-brother-in-law.
The said: "We have felt the love and support from people all over the world and we're very grateful. We want to extend a prayer from the Hudson family to the Balfour family. We have all suffered terrible loss in this tragedy.'
"It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday."
