James Arthur's X Factor winner's single stormed straight to the top of the UK top 40 chart last night becoming the fastest selling single of the year in the process.
We had a feeling it would do well.
James' winner's single 'Impossible' shifted an incredible 490,000 copies in just one week making it the second fastest selling X Factor debut single of all time.
Clearly the fall in ratings haven't affected the buying public's music taste then.
Piping James to the post for the all time fastest selling winner's single was 2008's winner Alexandra Burke with 'Hallelujah'.
James Arthur did however manage to more than double last year's winners Little Mix's first week sales of 210,00.

An ecstatic James said: "To everyone from home and around Britain who bought the single, thank you very, very much.
"You've made my dreams come true. The fact that it was in aid of Together For Short Lives, which is a great cause and a great charity, I think that really helped.
"My number one award is going to go on my mantelpiece, and I'll probably kiss it for two weeks solid every time I pass it!"
Fellow X Factor contestant and close friend Rylan Clark congratulated the singer via Twitter shortly after the news of his success was announced.
He wrote: "The Husband got his no 1, I'm so proud of him @JamesArthur23 #impossibleno1 x"
And so he should be proud, James Arthur even managed to beat chart veterans Britney Spears and Will.i.am to number with the pair having to settle for second place.
All in all, a rather good start to a promising career for James.
