It’s not even returned to our TV screens yet but already ‘Dancing on Ice’ is proving to be one of the most dramatic series in years.
And we’re not talking about Pamela Anderson’s altogether random participation in the show.
Nope, we’re talking about poor old Jennifer Metcalfe who has been left heartbroken after splitting up from boyfriend and professional skater on the show Sylvain Longchambon.
The couple got together two years ago after Jennifer appeared as a contestant on ‘Dancing on Ice’ but it has now been reported that Sylvain has broken things off with her after developing feelings for his latest celeb partner on the show Samia Ghadie.
A source told the Sun that Jen didn’t see the split coming and is understandably devastated.
The source said: "Jennifer is absolutely gutted. She just did not see this coming. She is in bits. She feels she has been kicked in the teeth and is devastated.
"The pain is very real at the moment but Jennifer is gorgeous, talented and a lovely person so it is his loss in the end -- not hers.
"But it's going to be tough to see Samia and Sylvain skating together."
Our advice? Don’t watch the program Jen.
Coronation Street actress Samia separated from her boyfriend Will Throp earlier this month and has since thrown herself into 'Dancing on Ice' training- spending most of her time with Sylvain.
The source added that Jen was understandably shocked at how quickly the two had developed feelings for each other.
The source continued: "They have been training together since October so it is pretty quick for people to start having strong feelings for each other."

Friends of Sylvain and Samia have however told The Sun that they are not in a relationship but wouldn’t be shocked if something romantic did occur between them.
A friend told the paper: "Samia is adamant she has done nothing wrong, but she admits she's close to Sylvain and that he has been a rock to her since her relationship broke down with Will.
"They clearly have chemistry and they are both single. If they want to get together, then why not? No one can say what will happen in the future, but they aren't an item yet."
Hmmm, sounds like a roundabout way of saying they are together to us.
We’ll just have to wait and see when 'Dancing on Ice' returns next weekend on ITV1.
