There had been no word from the Take That camp about whether or not the band would still go ahead with their scheduled performance, with a spokesman saying shortly after the news was announced that it was 'too soon' to say.

Gary hasn't tweeted since the Closing Ceremony, but he did take to Twitter earlier in the week to thank fans for their support.
He said: "Your kind words and lovely messages are overwhelming. thank you" [sic]
