"I got super skinny following my break-up," said Lauren. "I've been having weight gain shakes."

And Sam is no different: "I used to go to the gym but I don't do anything at the moment I eat healthily and have lots of fruit and veg."

One time when the girls feel the pressure to look their best is at a celebrity event but they confessed to us that they don't do anything differently despite being papped!

"Before an event I eat a big breakfast and lunch but avoid eating a big meal after that," said Sam.

"And if you want to look great in pics, stand slightly to the side with your hand on your hip."

Lauren shares Sam's mindset saying: "I eat exactly what I normally would. One meal won't make a difference, only weeks/months of hard work can do that!"

To ensure she's red-carpet ready Lydia pampers herself… "I always start with the dress and then match my accessories around it.  Once I've decided on my outfit I then spend about an hour soaking in the bath."

So if the girls don't prepare for a night out with exercise of eating differently surely they have special beauty regimes?

"Sudocrem at night — I wear it as a light mask," Lauren revealed. "It's amazing if you can feel a spot or blemish coming — it'll get rid of it overnight."

For Lydia it's all about the hair, "I put my hair up in hot rollers whilst I do my make- up then let my hair down from the rollers at the last minute to keep it curly for as long as possible."
"If I'm having a bad make-up day I use MAC Prep and Prime," said Sam.

Essex make-up has a distinct look, but the girls put their own stamps on things…

Lydia is all about high voltage glamour: "When wearing a plunging neckline complement it with your make-up.  I'd go for a really smouldering, smokey eye and then pull all of my hair off my face into a high ponytail or bun"

"I get my nails sorted every three weeks," added Sam  who prefers to keep things simple.

Lauren said: "I do tend to keep it a bit more subtle —  only ever mid-length lashes, and if I'm doing a smoky eye, I'll do it with bronze tones rather than blacks."
