Dannii will join the  judging panel alongside Elle Macpherson.

The news was officially announced this morning and it would seem that Dannii could not be more chuffed with her new job.

Writing on her blog, she said: "I have spent six year’s judging talent in Australia and the UK for Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor."

"One of my favourite parts was the mentoring of contestants so I will be brushing up on my model moves and with my highest platform heels on, I will attempt to come face to face with (well maybe look up to) this season’s beautiful girls."

In your FACE, Cowell!

Simon reportedly offered Dannii a whopping £1million to replace Kelly Rowland this year however, his offers were met with a big fat resounding 'NO!'.

And now we know why! Plus, singing competition are like SO last month.

Plus, is it any wonder Dannii wasn't too keen to chum up with Simon Cowell again after he went and blabbed about their affair in his book earlier this year.

Yep, Dannii pretty much thought her secret was safe until Simon spilled all the beans in an autobiography.

It seems Simon isn't having much luck convincing well, any of his previous judges to return.

Which leads us to think that the show really could go back to basics and back to the original panel of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

And we reckon it could prove to be just the boost X Factor needs.
