Grimmy, who was yesterday announced as the replacement for Chris Moyles on the Radio 1's Breakfast Show, joined Chris Moyles and the gang live on air this morning.

And Radio 1 veteran Moyles, who has been doing the early morning show for eight years, told him he'd never be able to hold down a relationship with the antisocial hours.

He said: "It's a good job you're single going in to start the show. Because you definitely would be. Look at me!"

Side-kick Comedy Dave added: "You know what, I've done two marriages on this show!"

Chris double-checked Grimmy's relationship status asking: "You are single and you don't have a girlfriend?"

Grimmy, who is BFFs with Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof, Lily Allen and One Direction's Harry Styles, confirmed: "Nope".

Chris added: "Maybe you'll be married to a beautiful woman with a couple of kids by the end of this?"

Nick said: "I very much doubt it" and then LOLed.

Grimmy, who is leaving his 10pm - midnight slot from September to take on the new prestigious role told Chris that he was very excited by the news.

He said: "It doesn't feel as weird as it should [to be in the studio].

"I'm very excited. It's just been a very weird 24 hours."

And the Chris Moyles gang gave him a taster of what it would be like when he has his own breakfast show by leaving him on his own live on air.

The entire team including Aled, Tina and Dom walked out of the studio, leaving Grimmy begging them to come back as he'd only been up 20 minutes and wasn't a morning person. Ooops.
