There's only one way to get through 55 hours of tattoo pain - and that's to sing your way through it.
Cheryl Cole's bum tattoo - which is made up of several very large roses and stretches up her back - was so painful that she had to sing her way through her sessions.
A source at Black Anchor Collective tattoo studio in Hesperia, California, exclusively told omg!: "Cheryl sang at the top of her voice through her tattoo to dull the pain.

"She had a good nights' sleep before each session and didn’t drink to numb the pain - but she did sing, quite loudly, to help her cope.
"She was singing her heart out - if someone had recorded it they could have made a fortune from the session!"
Cheryl spent a whopping £14,000 on her ink, which took an eye-watering 55 hours to complete, our source confirmed.
But the 30-year-old had plenty to fill the hours with, chatting away to her tattoo artist, Nikko about her personal life.
The source added: "Nikko is the most discreet man in tattooing and has been offered a fortune to spill the beans on Cheryl, because he knows a lot, but there is not a chance he would.
"Cheryl spoke about some of the things that trouble her most, she has a total confidante in Nikko."
Chezza's tat caused a flurry of criticism, with every man and his dog wading in on her design choice, leaving her with no choice but to tell us all to do one.
She tweeted: "People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I've never really concerned myself with other people's body parts!
"I've had it for seven-eight months but only just had it detailed. I can pretty much safely say I'm now done!"
