Cheryl Cole channelled pop goddess Beyonce tonight in Cannes as she hit the red carpet wearing a spectacular feathered gown.
Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole made jaws drop at the French film festival this evening as she donned a white and red Stephane Rolland Haute Couture fishtail gown with a HUGE train of feathers.
Earlier this month global megastar Beyonce wore a similar dress to the Met Ball Gala in New York - along with a host of other A-listers who embraced the feather trend.
Popstar Cheryl, who is in Cannes for make-up brand L'Oreal, showed off her amazingly svelte figure in the skin-tight dress.
The Geordie brunette, who recently got in shape for her 'Call My Name' video, set alight the famous walkway in the show-stopping dress which was half white (neck to thighs) and half red feathers (thighs down).
And she almost looked like she was rising from the red carpet itself from the mid-thigh down as she matched the colour exactly and walked with her dramatic train of feathers behind her.
Cheryl paired the white and red dress with a matching rouge clutch and an array of diamonds and rubies dripping off her arms and ears. She wore her long brunette hair down in gentle waves.
Beyonce's Met Gala gown had a similarly long train, but in a deep purple colour, contrasting with a black sheer and lace bodice.
Cheryl Cole, who landed in Cannes last night and tried to hide her face as much as possible, tweeted earlier to say that she was about to hit the red carpet in rainy Cannes.
She posted: "About to walk the red carpet for @LOrealParisUK. It's raining lol. #Cannes2012"
And L'Oreal posted THIS video of a fresh-faced Cheryl getting ready to make her dramatic entrance.
