Charlotte Church wears tattoo transfers on her face for SXSW performance, tops it off with a bizarre Flamenco outfit

Charlotte Church came out from where ever she's been hiding to put on a bizarre performance at SXSW last night.

The singer - who we haven't seen on the 'celeb scene' for AGES - took to the stage in Texas to perform songs from her latest EP.

But despite being there to promote her new music, Charlotte's bizarre outfit and make-up sparked more of an interest from onlookers.

Looking more like a Flamenco dancer than a classical-star-turned-pop-star-turned-hipster (we're losing track), Charlotte wore a structured layered brown jacket paired with a floor-length ruffled skirt.

She topped the dressing-up-box look off by covering her face in tattoo transfers and scraping her hair back into a messy ponytail (possibly a novel way of covering spots? We'll never know).

Charlotte, who has two children with ex-boyfriend Gavin Henson, has been taking time out of the limelight to focus on writing songs for her upcoming EP, 'Two'.

And the 27-year-old recently revealed that she's enjoyed being away from the 'celebrity crowd' and loves not reading stories about herself online (until now, obvs).

In a recent interview, she said: "The thing is, it's my own fault for looking [at people's comments online]. You just shouldn't for your mental health, it's just a bad thing. "
