Caroline Flack isn’t sure if Olly Murs will return to the Xtra Factor, Rylan Clark eyes up the coveted spot

Speculation has been running rife as to whether Olly Murs will be returning to present this year’s Xtra Factor.

The ‘Troublemaker’ singer will reportedly step down from the role to focus on his music career instead.

Olly Murs’ Xtra Factor co-host Caroline Flack however has stated that his departure isn’t a sure thing.

She said: “He hasn’t said for sure, he was saying a similar thing last year so we don’t know yet.”

While the notion that the two will be working on the Xtra Factor again is still unclear, Caroline is adamant that they will work together in the future regardless.

She continued: “I think me and Olly are definitely going to work together again but whether it is on the Xtra Factor or not I don’t know.

“But we will definitely work together again.”

So who could be Olly Murs' replacement if he does choose to leave the show?

One name that keeps popping up is X Factor contestant and Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clark.

The Essex born reality star has already had some experience in the world of presenting, becoming Daybreak’s guest entertainment editor last year.

During his Celebrity Big Brother winner’s interview, Rylan admitted to omg! that he would love the opportunity to present the spin off series.

He said: "My dream job would be presenting on The Xtra Factor - and I know my name has been banded about, but it's an honour that I've even been mentioned."

With the X Factor not returning to our screens until the summer, only time will tell us who will be stood next to Caroline come the next series.
