The biggest talking point of last year’s BRITs was the moment when Adele was interrupted by James Corden half way through her acceptance speech for British Album of the Year.
And it seems that Adele is still not over it.
The 24-year-old singer made a dig at the producers of the awards during her acceptance speech this year for British Single, which she scooped for Skyfall.
Unable to attend the ceremony, Adele recorded her thanks for the programme.
During the speech, Adele proceed to make a point about keeping things short and sweet so that whoever won the big prize of the night later on wouldn’t have their moment in the spotlight cut short.
She said: 'Sorry I can't be with you tonight but I'm in LA rehearsing for the Oscars.
'I don't want to keep you too much because I don't want to interrupt the best album speech at the end of the night.'
Good for Adele we say!
James Corden, who was told to interrupt Adele last year, then made a joke following the VT.
He quipped: “She's definitely finished? She didn’t say anything else? Check the tape. 100 percent?”
That moment will probably haunt him for the rest of his life.
Luckily it seemed that the big bosses had learned their lesson from last year- allowing Emeli Sande to make her full speech after winning British Album of the Year.
Thank goodness for that.
