Beyonce and Jay-Z have released an official statement about their daughter, Blue Ivy, and Jay-Z has shared a song called 'Glory' about their newborn that also suggests Beyonce suffered a miscarriage.
The singer and rapper released a joint statement on Beyonce's website: "Hello Hello Baby Blue!
"We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.
"She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."
It was initially reported Beyonce had a Caesarean, but the 30-year-old has put the record straight.

Jay-Z has also made revelations about Blue's conception in Paris and a previous miscarriage in a song he has just released, 'Glory.' The track includes audio samples of what is thought to be Blue's cries.
He raps: "False alarms and false starts / All made better by the sound of your heart / All the pain of the last time / I prayed so hard it was the last time."
Jay-Z adds: "But you was made in Paris and mama woke up the next day and shot her album package / Last time the miscarriage was so tragic /We was afraid you disappeared but nah baby, you magic."
The chorus is: "The most amazing feeling I feel / Words can't describe what I'm feeling for real / Baby, I paint the sky blue / My greatest creation was you."

The happy parents have apparently been splashing the cash on their daughter already.
A source told Star magazine: "Together they've bought a Swarovski-studded high chair by Carla Monchen for £10,000, and a Fantasy 'posh tots' coach carriage crib for £30,000.
"Jay-Z bought Beyonce a solid gold handmade Ginza Tanaka rocking horse for £400,000. They've even splashed out on a £20,000 magical windmill playhouse for the garden and a mini Bugatti car, too."
Sounds like Blue Ivy will have the coolest nursery in town.
