It's the first original Destiny's Child release for eight years which seems pretty crazy - it seems like only yesterday that we were bopping around in front of the mirror to Lose My Breath.

Beyonce announced the news via her website. She posted an image which simply read: "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years! - Beyoncé"

Beyonce also tweeted the cover of the album. Copyright [Destiny's Child]Unfortunately there's only one new song on the album which makes Beyonce's announcement a little misleading, but we're still ridiculously excited to hear it.

In fact, the news sparked a debate about our favourite ever Destiny's Child songs. Here are our top 5:

1. Independent Women Part 1

When Charlie's Angels came out, our favourite part of the film was this absolute tune. It was the song that made us feel all strong and powerful with lyrics like: "If I wanted the watch you're wearin, I'll buy it, the house I live in, I've bought it, the car I'm driving, I've bought it. I depend on me."

2. Bootylicious

Listening to Destiny's Child's song Bootylicious is probably the best way to overcome any day where you're feeling body conscious. The song rang so true that 'bootylicious' has now become a word in its own right.

3. Survivor

Officially the best break up song EVER. In them moments where we were doubting whether we'd ever get over that rubbish ex, the lyrics saw us through: "You thought that I'd be sad without you, I laugh harder. You thought I wouldn't grow without you, now I'm wiser."

4. Say My Name

A proper old school classic, it's R n B embodied. The chorus is ridiculously catchy, too.

5. Lose My Breath

Lose My Breath was Destiny's Child's comeback single (and the last single they released) back in 2004. With a bit of help from Beyonce's hubby Jay Z on the production side, the song was an absolute smash and is guaranteed to get us on the dance floor, where we really believe we can dance like Beyonce. Ahem.
