The Les Mis star was seen grabbing the microphone and rallying the crowd in LA

Let’s just all take a moment to get political, yeah?

Anne Hathaway was with her hubby Adam Schulman.

Anne Hathaway took to the streets of LA yesterday to raise awareness of the 276 kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls.

Clearly passionate about her message the 31-year-old was seen grabbing the microphone and rallying the crowd with the hashtag #bringbackourgirls.

It defo worked - now we are all talking about the cause.

276 Nigerian schoolgirls have been kidnapped by an Islamic terror group known as Boko Haram or Western Education Is Sinful.

Anne Hathaway took time out to raise awareness.

And we think it’s brilliant that Anne is helping the message reach the mainstream.

The Les Mis star isn’t the only Hollywood type getting involved in raising awareness, keen philanthropist Angelina Jolie has also been speaking about the story.

While in Paris promoting her latest film Malificent, Angelina Jolie told Agence France-Presse:

“The kidnapping of these young Nigerian girls is an unthinkable cruelty. Sadly, of course, there is real evil in the world. You watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty.”

Kim Kardashian has also described the situation as ‘heartbreaking’ while her sister and mother Kourtney and Kris Jenner also tweeted in support.

Amy Poehler and Leona Lewis have shared pictures of themselves on Twitter holding signs saying '#Bring Back Our Girls.'
