The wedding of actress Sara Gilbert and musician Linda Perry was full of surprises.
On Monday, 39-year-old Gilbert returned from her honeymoon and took her place at "The Talk's" round table with her co-hosts. Naturally, the former "Roseanne" star shared a few details with the audience about the '80s-themed nuptials that took place on March 30 on a ranch in Malibu, California.

The day began in an unexpected way when the person who was supposed to officiate the ceremony called in sick, and a substitute was quickly flown in to the location.
"It was all impromptu, and that made it kind of sweet and casual," Gilbert shared.
Later, 48-year-old Perry surprised Gilbert with several musical performances. The first one came when Perry herself performed John Lennon's song "Love" during a cocktail party immediately before the ceremony began.
Perry's official gift to Gilbert, however, was bringing in four singers from 1980's bands to perform during the couple's vegan reception: Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow; Martha Davis of the Motels; Dale Bossio of Missing Persons; and Terri Nunn of Berlin.
Perry, a music producer and songwriter, also put a lot of effort into her vows. Gilbert joked that her wife has been "super competitive" about which of them wrote better promises to each other.
"When people say they cried at the wedding, she's like, 'Well, who's vows did you cry at, mine or Sara's?'" Gilbert laughed.
Her "Talk" co-stars, who were guests at the wedding, raved about the nuptials.
"It was the most beautiful expression of love that I had ever seen," Sheryl Underwood said. "And the most fun I have ever had, so I thank you for letting us be a part of that."
