But Niall Horan hadn't bargained for the horrendous storm which swept the UK on Monday - leaving him stranded in London.
The One Direction star had to deal with cancelled flights and closed roads like the rest of the country as he found his Christmas ruined.
Unable to get home to his family in his native Ireland, Niall tweeted his distress and even retweeted a message asking for Christmas dinner.
In a VERY angry tweet, he wrote: ''Well this is s**t! Looks like we ain't goin home for Xmas! F*** you wind.''
