Simon Cowell is said to have booked a private jet to be kept on stand-by so he can fly to New York as quickly as possible when partner Lauren Silverman goes into labour.
The 54-year-old is set to be a dad this month, but is currently in the UK filming the audition stage of Britain's Got Talent.
But it seems the music mogul has made himself as prepared as he can be for the arrival of his first child, by leasing a private jet that will allow him to make the 8 hour journey to New York as quickly as possible, according to the Sunday People.
Cowell is said to be planning to work the visit around the show so he doesn't miss an episode of filming.

"Simon obviously wants to be there for Lauren and meet the baby as soon as he or she is born," a source said. "The plane means that Simon can get going with only an hour's notice and will be with Lauren in the shortest time possible.
"Obviously Laren and the baby's well-being are Simon's number one priority and as soon as he has ensured everything is OK and spent some time with his first child, he will come back home.
"But he plans to shuttle between New York and London as often as possible to see them."
Lauren has chosen to give birth in a hospital in New York, where she is from, instead of giving birth in the UK.
The parents-to-be are alleged to have looked at private hospitals in West London so Lauren could give birth in the capital while Cowell worked but the Sunday People revealed that they both decided that it would be easier for Lauren to have the baby in her native New York so she could have the support of her mother.Tiny Beyonce Makes Surprise Appearance On Stage With JayZ At PreSuper Bowl Party
