Singer Kimberley Walsh has been nursing a secret injury this week after pulling her rib muscles during her recent performance on reality show Strictly Come Dancing.
The Girls Aloud star and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev earned full marks for their show-stopping routine on last weekend's show, but Walsh hurt herself during the dance and sought medical advice.
Walsh has been taking painkillers and anti-inflammatory tablets to ease her pain, and is still planning to perform on Saturday's semi-final.
She tells The Sun newspaper, "It's been tricky to rehearse because it hurts when Pasha tries to lift me. I went to a doctor and I've been given painkillers and anti-inflammatory tablets - I feel like my body isn't coping very well at all.
"Despite the injuries... Last week's scores definitely gave me a boost. No matter what happens now, I was really pleased to make those improvements that got us a perfect score. That was a brilliant moment."
However, Walsh admits she's struggling to juggle her rehearsals with her commitments to the girl group, adding: "When I signed up, I probably wouldn't have expected to get so far in Strictly!
"But I knew about the Girls Aloud work when I started, so although it's been tricky and very busy, I wouldn't change it for anything. I must admit, I've had a few moments where I've thought I'm losing my mind."
