She made her name patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County in ‘Baywatch,’ but despite bidding farewell to the hit US drama in 1997, Pamela Anderson is ready to dust off her striking red swim suit for a forthcoming appearance on ‘Dancing on Ice’ – if it will win her the public vote.
The 47-year old actress was a relative unknown before signing up to play ‘Baywatch’ lifeguard CJ Parker in the early nineties – a role she maintained for five years before moving on.
Now in the UK after agreeing to take part in the eighth series of the hit skating show, Pammie admits she’s happy to peel on her old costume and recreate some of her scenes from the series during the later stages of the competition if it means winning over the viewers.
“You never know – if I need to do it, I will do it to win,” she said. “I will get the red swimsuit on if I get that far. I will. I’ll do whatever it takes,” she said according to the Evening Standard.
Despite her determination to get as far as possible, the actress - partnered with professional ice skater Matt Evers - has played down her standing as bookies favourite to win the show.
“I think because I’m Canadian, everyone expects me to be able to skate, and I haven’t skated since I was five. But I’ve been trying really hard. I really want to learn and I love the technical side of it all. And I love the performance – I hope people enjoy the performance as well as the skating part."
Other celebrities to take part in this year’s show include Anthea Turner, Samia Ghadie, Keith Chegwin, Joe Pasquale and Shayne Ward.Taylor Swift Talks 'Fairytale Love' Is Harry Styles Her Handsome Prince?
