Robert Pattinson has revealed that since having to also wear red eye contact lenses for the final installment of the Twilight saga, Kristen Stewart now understands why he complained about them so much.
Talking exclusively to omg! at the Twilight premiere, Rob told us that Kristen Stewart finally understood why he has made such a fuss about the lenses over the past few years.
He said: "She finally realised that I wasn't just lying at the times when I was saying how annoying they were."
Robert Pattinson also admitted that he was glad to be well and truly rid of the lenses.
He said: "It was amazing, it was such a relief.
"One of the best days of my life- I threw them into the sea!"
A tad dramatic but then again we haven't experienced the pain of these infamous red contacts so who are we to judge?

During the final part of the saga, Taylor Lautner's character Jacob Black 'imprints' himself on Edward and Bella's baby daughter Renesmee.
Imprinting, just so you know, is the involuntary mechanism by which Quileute shape-shifters find their soul-mates.
So needless to say, the scene where Taylor's character realises his soul mate is a new born could have been potentially awkward to film.

When asked if he was ever tempted to take the mickey out of Taylor for the scenes, Robert Pattinson admitted that he was a pro about it.
He said: "I couldn't really. It's just too easy so I let him get on with it."
