For a generation of fans, she was best known as the weight-obsessed, neurotic Bridget Jones.
But Renee Zellweger looked a far cry from her best-known character this week, as she debuted her dramatically different face.
The A-lister looked decades younger than her 44 years as she stepped out at a film screening in LA - with her face frozen and sporting a wide-eyed gaze.

But although the actress looked almost unrecognisable from her previous image, she seemed fresh-faced and youthful, pulling off her new look.
Among the changes to her face, Renee's eyes looked much wider and her forehead and cheeks looked pulled back and taut.
The actress, who became known for piling on weight for the Bridget films and then losing it in lightning quick speed, looked thinner than ever at the film event.
But the one thing that did look the same was Renee's trademark wispy blonde hair, which she wore half up in a ponytail.
She showed off her new look for the first time just the week before as she attended a fashion event to honour Giorgio Armani.
US showbiz site RadarOnline reported at the time that much of the talk during the evening was of the star's new look. Can't say we're surprised.
