Following the reports that Simon Cowell is to become a dad (we still can’t quite believe it either), friends of the music mogul have taken to Twitter to share their surprise.
Former girlfriend and part time palm leaves wearer Sinitta, 49, was one of the first of Simon’s friends to take to the social networking site about the news.
And it seems like she was less than excited about it.
She tweeted: “Something has just happened ..half miracle, half nightmare! #WakeMeUpIWantToGetOff!!”
New dad and Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams was however somewhat more enthused by the news.

He initially tweeted: “Oh yeah, and @SimonCowell is doing a baby with a lady.”
The comedian then followed up the tongue and cheek tweet with an equally as jovial one.
He posted: “For the record @SimonCowell and I tried to have a baby together for many years. But I just couldn't get pregnant.”
It was revealed yesterday that the 53-year-old X Factor creator was to be a first time father to the child of New York socialite Lauren Silverman – who is incidentally the wife of his good friend Andrew Silverman.
The two are however separated, filing for divorce on July 15 this year.
According to US Weekly, Lauren is currently 10 weeks into her pregnancy.
A source close to Lauren also revealed to the Mail Online that she plans to marry Simon as the two are ‘in love’.
They said: “Lauren loves Simon, she says that she wants to marry him. And with the baby, she's going the right way about it! But I think this could be really good for Simon.”
Simon Cowell’s mother was also overjoyed by the unexpected turn of events, telling The Sun: “I've not heard anything officially. But if it's true then I'm absolutely delighted. It's wonderful! He'll make a fantastic father. He'll be great.”
A spokesperson for Simon Cowell from Max Clifford's company told omg! yesterday: "Max has spoken with Simon today.
"This is a very sensitive issue and all media enquiries are being dealt with by his US attorney Martin Singer."
We are still awaiting comment from Simon Cowell's lawyer.
